Terms of Service
Effective October 24, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Ecommerce Signal (David Limon), San Antonio, Texas ("we", "us"), which runs ESOS Meals. By creating an account or using ESOS Meals, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and plain. If something is unclear, email us at davidl.satx@gmail.com.
1. Your account and household
- You need to be an adult (18 or older) to create an account. Accounts are not for children under 13 in any case.
- Give a real email address and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- The person who creates a household is its owner. The owner can invite other adults with an invite link, add family members (including children's profiles, which the owner manages), and remove people. Anyone you invite can see and change the household's plans, lists, and pantry.
- Only share invite links with people you want in your household. You can cancel an invite link at any time.
2. What you add: recipes, photos, reviews, and tips
- You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, reviews, ratings, and tips you add.
- So we can run the app, you give us permission (a non-exclusive, royalty-free license) to store, copy, resize, and display what you add, only to the people allowed by the visibility you choose: Only me, My household, or Everyone on ESOS Meals. Reviews and tips you post on a recipe can be seen by other people on ESOS Meals. This permission ends when you delete the item or your account, except for copies in backups that are cleared over time.
- Only add things you have the right to share. Don't add anything that:
- is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- copies someone else's recipe text, photos, or other work without permission;
- shares someone's private information;
- is spam, advertising, or meant to mislead.
- Anyone can report a review. We may review, hide, or remove anything that breaks these rules or that we reasonably think is harmful, and we may limit or close accounts that keep breaking them. We aren't required to check everything people post, and we don't promise to catch everything.
- If you believe something on ESOS Meals copies your work, email us with a link to it and we'll look into it.
3. Recipes and nutrition information
- Recipes, ingredient lists, serving sizes, and any nutrition details are provided as-is and may contain mistakes. Many recipes come from TheMealDB and TheCocktailDB or from other people on ESOS Meals.
- ESOS Meals is not medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Allergy and dislike settings help the planner, but they can miss things. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially for allergies, and talk to a doctor or dietitian about medical or dietary needs.
- Cook safely: follow safe food-handling and cooking temperatures. Drink recipes may contain alcohol; only adults of legal drinking age should drink alcohol.
4. Walmart and other outside sites
- ESOS Meals can send your shopping list to Walmart.com and link to other websites. Those sites are run by other companies, under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control their prices, stock, or orders.
- In the future, some links (including Walmart links) may become affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We'll keep this disclosure up to date.
5. Plans, trials, and payment
- Paid billing is currently turned off, and nobody is being charged.
- If we offer paid subscriptions or free trials later, the price, billing period, trial length, renewal, and how to cancel will be shown clearly before you sign up, and those terms will apply to your subscription. Payments would be handled by a payment processor (Stripe); we would not store your full card number.
6. Using ESOS Meals fairly
Please don't try to break into accounts or systems, overload the service, copy the app or its recipe library in bulk with automated tools, or use ESOS Meals to break the law.
7. No guarantees
We work to keep ESOS Meals useful and running, but it's provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that it will save you a certain amount of money or food.
8. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Ecommerce Signal and David Limon are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits, or savings, arising from your use of ESOS Meals. Our total liability for any claim about ESOS Meals is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for ESOS Meals in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
9. Ending your use
- You can stop using ESOS Meals at any time. To delete your account, email us (self-serve deletion is coming). See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used for illegal activity. We may also change or stop ESOS Meals; if we stop it, we'll try to give reasonable notice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date above, and for important changes we'll give notice in the app or by email. If you keep using ESOS Meals after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
11. Texas law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
